One of the ZPC Kariba caretaker coaches Oliver Matava believes they can beat champions Dynamos in a Castle Lager Premiership tie at Nyamhunga on Saturday.

This will be their second league match in the resort town after a 0-3 loss to FC Platinum.

“We are trying to correct all the mistakes which made us lose our first match at home,” said Matava.

“Our fans are a passionate lot as witnessed by the numbers that always attend out training sessions and it would be good to beat Dynamos in front of them,” said Matava.

“Dynamos are just like any other team and we treat them the same way we treat any other team like Dongo Sawmill or any team in the league.

“We also have former Dynamos players in our fold such as Russel Madamombe, George Magariro and Thomas Magorimbo and they would be motivated to play against their former team.

“Pride Tafirenyika and Tsepo Rantokane have knocks but we expect them to be fine by the weekend.”

Matava believes they have done fairly well since head coach, Saul Chaminuka, was suspended.

Dynamos will be without Sydney Linyama and Steven Alimenda who are suspended after picking three yellow cards.

Elsewhere, Harare City, will be seeking for their first away victory when they make a short trip to Rusape, for a clash against Dongo Sawmills.

Assistant coach, Mkhupali “Mr Cooper” Masuku, said they hope to win on the road.

“We are geared up for the game. We haven’t been doing well away from home and have only managed draws.

“But it is work in progress and hopefully this weekend it would be our first victory away from home.

“Our conversion rate has been poor but performance-wise we are doing well.

“Most teams, when they start winning, they are high on confidence, more so, when playing at home, they do everything to win and are very dangerous.”

Harare City would be without defender Arnold Chivheya who picked a red card in the last match against Chapungu.

Coach Shadreck Magurasave said his men were facing a tough battle.
