Johane Masowe Way of Worshipping and Life: The Truth vs Myths and Lies
Johane Masowe Way of Worshipping and Life: The Truth vs Myths and Lies

Greetings to all who have spared a moment to walk with me as I continue my discussion from where I left last time. I promised to address the Johane Masowe yeChishanu way of worshipping to put paid to rest generalisations printed into a book by Mr Walter Magaya.

But by the end, I hope I will have given enough explanation about the Masowe way of worshipping and life. Our way of worshipping is our life, it defines and identifies us. I mean no harm or offence to anyone, not at all unless one wishes or chooses to feel offended. I mean no disrespect to anyone either.

KuMasowe we are blessed, we are monotheistic- we worship one God who teaches us tsitsi, rudo nemutsa- humility and forgiveness.

Let me take the reader back. I never wanted to post an article. I never thought I would post one, until I read the article about Mr Magaya condemning Johane Masowe yeChishanu.

So in case those who missed the previous instalment may wonder, I’m not attacking anybody, neither am I seeking attention or casting aspersions, for such a claim can only be the selfish excuse of a man who is in epic trepidation of an imminent response and uncomfortable to imagine the reaction to his acts of unwarranted provocation.

For the record, I do not read the bible as I said before. I do not have a bible anywhere in my premises, The Holy Spirit is my witness on this. So for all verses that I quoted and shall quote in this instalment, it is all research work.

Meet me and ask me to recite the verses off the top of my head and I tell you I will only recite John 3:16, Matthew 7:7 and John 14:1 because songs have been sung about them. We were made to recite them in school as songs back in the 80s.

So it’s not easy to forget them. I’m just being honest.

My previous article wanted to prove that the bible is not the true Word of God despite it containing many recitations of God’s Word. I gave enough facts to support myself. I have received some responses (thank you all). But I didn’t find any that adequately addressed my questions. However, that is not my mission today. I promised to explain about Masowe way of worship. So without further ado, I want to get into that.

I shall continue to quote the bible to stay on course with Christians that will have an interest in reading this article. What effects my quotes will have is a subjective matter for the individual reader to handle.

Johane Masowe Way of Worshipping

When our Religion was revealed to the Prophet (not dreamer), a good number of the converts had heard about the bible, or had been briefly preached to by gun-carrying European missionaries.

The Holy Spirit had strictly advised these first converts against reading the scriptures paMasowe. After establishing the assembly in Nevanji, Mhondoro, Baba Johane then started travelling around preaching and getting non-believers converted.

However, man is man, and man has his frailties. Some of those at the assembly in Nevanji, out of adventure and mischief, started making wooden carvings and designs with crosses representing crucifixion.

Some started getting wayward prophesies (mweya yechiedzo) and introduced water lilies, kirawa, zvipiyaniso zvetsanga nezvivezwa, tsvimbo of different designs mimicking religious events from the past during Moses and Jesus’ eras. That angered the Holy Spirit which introduced a Covenant on the Nyota Mountain in Negomo (Gomo reNyota), Chiweshe in 1936 called Dare RaJakopo.

Why Nyota Mountain? A number of believers had set out to go to Zambia to preach as part of their repentance for using idols and artefacts paMasowe. The Holy Spirit had already informed them of Its anger. So the start of Sabbath on Thursdays mid- afternoon caught up with them while they were in the vicinity of Gomo reNyota. They decided to camp at the base of the Mountain till after Sabbath.

That is the night the Covenant descended and established Negomo as one of the three Holy Countries for Johane Masowe. A great miracle happened of eye blinding light that came down from Heaven and eclipsed the whole Nyota Mountain. All villagers saw the powerful blinding light. To this day, Negomo people still confirm seeing the bright light on that night.

Suddenly, many gathered at the base of the Mountain were possessed by the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tounges. One of them then got Prophesy that a Great Prophet of God (Jacob/ Jakopo) had descended with Glad Tidings to return God’s flock back to the founding doctrine of the Religion.

Their pilgrimage to Zambia was aborted, they had to go back to Nevanji, Mhondoro, to meet the Visitor send by God. Angel Jacob spoke through Madzibaba Edson Chokururama from Ngwerume, kuMutedza, Murehwa. He announced the Covenant which was named Dare raJakopo.

A couple of prayers and miracles took place on the crest of that Mountain and Nyota Mountain was renamed Dheranji by the Holy Spirit. Upon reaching Mhndoro, the believers were read what I want to term God’s Riot Act, which spelt out all prohibitions.

Next, the Holy Spirit a man called Sebastian to escort the Holy Spirit to Domboshava instructed a man called Sebastian to escort It and some believers to Domboshava (PaMuonde) nabout 1.5km from Domoshava Show Grounds towards the Catholic Church in the Nort East. That place became the second Holy Country.

There is a very special Masowe assembly that fellowships there to this day. PaMuonde is where the Covenant was fulfilled and all detestable artefacts were buried in a pit, believers were warned not to use them again.

There were several prohibitions announced during the burial of the abominable artefacts. Among them was use of kirawa, dancing paMasowe (dikisenzi), clapping hands, using cotton cloths of any other colours different from white and baptism. There are many other prohibitions by the way. But I mentioned these few to clarify.

When Baba Edson Chokururama had finished spelling out the restoration of the will of the Holy Spirit, he was instructed to cross Nyaguwe River, on a pilgrimage to a land that the Holy Spirit would instruct him. He didn’t know where the Holy Spirit was leading him, he just obeyed. He later found himself in familiar territory, his homeland of Murehwa.

There, he was instructed to establish another Holy Country, completing the Three Holy Countries paJohane Masowe yeChishanu. The three- Murehwa, Negomo and Domboshava represent the Trintas (Trinity).

We don’t go to any water sources for drawing any supernatural powers or baptism. Those who want to learn more about Chishanu should therefore consult vatendi who frequent or fellowship at any of these three Spiritual Countries. There are countless assemblies in cities associated with these three Countries- feel free to fellowship at any of them.

Nevertheless, some people decided to ignore the prohibitions of the Covenant and continued using prohibited materials. These are the people that the public see today constructing kirawa with cactus plants and other riverine plants.

They use stone pebbles, zvivezwa, machira egreen, yellow, red and some called vekwaMicho wear leather wrist bands, grow dreadlocks and wear red garments. That is not part of the Creed of Johane Masowe yeChishanu that the Prophet was send to establish. I therefore can’t talk in defence of them but they don’t follow Masowe yeChishau anymore though they still use the name.

If Christians talk of these, they are right but they should not generalise because original Masowe is clean, pure and peaceful. If Mr Magaya had spoken about these without generalising, I wouldn’t have responded. We have been criticised, attacked and told many things but never responded. But the act of generalising us to the extent of penning a book was an act of declaration of war.

When the Messenger of God, Mutumwa Baba Johane Masowe first started his messianic Ministry, he indiscriminately called all and sundry to the wilderness to pray. He announced the Message from God and shared the Glad Tidings that from then on, whoever converted and accepted to worship the Lord would be given a new flat title applicable to all ages: all men regardless of age, shall be addressed as Madzibaba. All women shall be addressed as Madzimai.

These titles were revealed to the Messenger of God. Mutumwa Johane Masowe was and is not at par with Jesus, Christians get this right. We, the followers of the Religion, do not put him at par with Jesus, because he is not.

He is only a Prophet like Moses and Muhammad. Baba Johane came to wean us from our totems and bondage to our ancestral deities where we would no longer be called Museyamwa, Mukanya or Bvumavaranda etc etc paMasowe.

Moses was send to the Jews. Muhammad was send to Arabs, people of Europe missed out on getting a Prophet because they lynched and hacked prophets and preachers, but who was send to the black man of Africa? Baba Johane Masowe yeChishanu of course! He was not send to Zimbabwe. The name of our Religion was revealed, it does not carry a country

or mortal being name as a prefix like “Zimbabwe …………Church or church yekwanhingi ” in a person’s name because it’s not a Zimbabwean or human establishment, neither is it a church. It’s a Religion for Africa. He was send to the entire continent Cape to Cairo.

Contrary to stubborn misconstrued interpretations, Baba Johane never asked for bibles, nor did he read them. Neither did the Religion start from a dream as insinuated by some misinformed Christian brethren.

One time in prison in Marandelas (Marondera), the regime prison guards attempted to force him to read the bible as part of efforts to insult and frustrate him, but all the bibles caught fire in full view of the whites. So how can such a man with such immense divine powers have read one, let alone four bibles as claimed by Bishop Chikosi?

Through the Prophet, the Laws of our Religion were all revealed to him and some to Baba Edson in 1936. It turned out that these Laws were replicas of the Mosaic Laws. One may start to wonder, but beloved Christian, settle down and stay with me. Wonder not. For I have all answers to your questions before you ask them.

I mentioned before that we, of Johane Masowe yeChishanu, are not Christians, simply because the word Christians is not a revealed word. It is a word originally drawn from the Persian and Mediterranean native languages, just like me, as a Shona person, has the word Mwari for God. That doesn’t mean the word Mwari becomes a revealed word as time goes on and end up with a sect called VekwaMwari or VeuMwari. Probably, this is where most Christians miss the point about Masowe and worshipping Jesus.

When we kneel down to pray, we open our prayer this way, “Zita raBaba (God), reMwanakomana (Jesus Christ), nereMweya Mutsvene (Holy Spirit)! Is there anyone out there who is still vague about what this means? When we close our prayer, we do so in Jesus’ name. Does that tell my Christian contemporaries something too?

We wear plain white garments only. I’m talking about true Johane Masowe yeChishanu, the way we worship paDare raJakopo in Murehwa, Negomo and Domboshava. We carry no artefacts. They are repugnant before the Lord. A man who carries artefacts into a prayer shrine must repent because they are forbidden. He still worships pagan deities and practices a form of polytheism. Johane Masowe is monotheistic- there is only one God!

Our Holy Day or Sabbath is Friday, because when Jesus was crucified, the Holy Spirit tells us that He died on a Friday. In Masowe Creed, we should die on a Wednesday and be buried on Friday to meet with Jesus. I have personally witnessed with repeated fear I must admit, several of my Religion members pass away on Wednesdays, we buried all of them on Fridays without fail, even in the middle of hail storms and blistering lightning.

When we gather in prayer, we don’t mix madzibaba nemadzimai, or stand at par paNdaza (orderly rows formed by worshippers in preparation for prayer, often in order of birth seniority, counted in sets of three).

The word Ndaza is defined and sung in our verses that we sing when we are about to pray. Men are naturally martyrs, so men or madzibaba, form their rows infront of madzimai. Madzimai form their rows behind in alignment with the ones already formed by madzibaba in front. God tells us that women should always be behind

men. We don’t mix when we sit down in prayer places. We leave a swath (Gwanza) in- between, we sit facing the swath. Crawlers can criss- cross the swath, God allows them, but not those from kindergarten age upwards.

Being behind madzibaba paNdaza doesn’t mean inferiority or inequality for men and women. It’s simply the way God wants it, no questions asked.

Even in the bible, women were never meant to be at par with men before God, until after the crucifixion when some preachers and authors of Gospels started rewriting and abolishing Mosaic Laws to suit their comforts and attributed these edited teachings to Jesus to give them weight and public acceptance. Now brethren and sistren sit side by side in church. They can rub hips if possible, “so long the heart”, so they say.

Musangano weGore is not a Divine event. Back in 1954, a couple of prominent figures in the scattered assemblies came up with a suggestion that they spare time at least once a year so that all believers from all assemblies can meet for at least a week and pray. This they said, was to encourage the believers to get to know each other and if needed, find suitors. They approached the Holy Spirit which permitted them to go ahead. Musangano weGore is not divine but is permitted. There is no grief if one chooses never to attend it.

We don’t have arranged marriages as wildly alleged. One marries when he/she is ready. We are don’t even want our daughters to get married before they mature enough. Musatinyepera.

The issue of miteuro yekumadokero is possibly a truth in those splinter assemblies that refused to embrace the Covenant and continued using banished artefacts, but that doesn’t mean Johane Masowe yeChishanu as a Religion performs miteuro yekumadokero.

Use of water and bowls made of clay in prayers

Water is a natural resource. Needless to say, it is also natural to every human body! Natural flowing water is readily available. Jesus was dipped in water for Baptism. John the Baptist baptised in water. What that means is that there is nothing wrong with the use of water for prayers. Jesus found it in use, it was used on Him and a miracle from Heaven happened by the river ( Matthew 3:17), while Jesus and John the Baptist were in water.

So why do Christians have beef with water? I did not research, but maybe Christians may know of a miracle(s) that came from Heaven following use of miracle oil. I don’t dispute that, because I don’t know. The Holy Spirit didn’t tell us kuMasowe about that miracle with oil.

It is common sense that we can’t and don’t carry water in our bare hands. We use containers. For that, the Holy Spirit asked us to use clay- made bowls (mbiya) expressly for the purpose of holding water in prayer sessions. It doesn’t mean that mbiya have some spiritual supernatural powers to our Religion.

Christian, if you want go and break any mbiya anywhere paMasowe anytime, nothing will happen to you, because there is no myth or special powers attached to those bowls. It’s only in the imagination of cynics and false later- day prophets that mbiya signify some supernatural practice of the dark world. The Holy Spirit simply doesn’t want us to use iron or plastic- made containers. It prefers something made naturally from natural materials. Simple! Isn’t a human being created from clay and water?

Masowe Dress Code

The Holy Spirit instructs madzibaba to wear shorts that do not expose the legs above the knees. Madzibaba must grow beards where possible and keep their hair neatly cut short. Madzimai should wear dresses and skirts that do not expose their bodies at any time.

They should cover themselves adequately, including their heads but not their faces. It is not proper for madzimai to expose their cleavages or wear clothing that induces suggestive thinking in men.

Madzibaba nemadzimai do not flirt (chiramu or kunemerana), but that doesn’t mean that some don’t break the Laws and do it. Flirting is a harbinger of adultery and fornication (mviro mviro dzemhanza mapfeka).

At no time should madzibaba nemadzimai wear clothes of any colour whether kuMasowe or at home. We don’t wear red, deep blue (navy), black, and any bright colours. We wear white, off white, beige, khaki, light green and blue, and cream. This is the dressing of dignified children of God. It’s a sign of humility. It signifies humbleness before the Lord.

The HOLY SPIRIT

Apa ndipo pane yese. Ndipo pane nyaya mbishi! When The Messenger of God was consecrated to his Ministry by the Holy Spirit, he had no human being by him. He was alone. Or was he? No. He had the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit revealed Itself and instructed the messianic mission to the Prophet, it also stayed with him, and the rest of the Religion to this day. It came to be with the Religion.

“Baba Johwani vakadzika nezwi” is an age old verse of ours (kuimba kwechifumo chemakore) that we recite every time kuMasowe. Before there was the bible, or any form of creation, there was The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. In English they are called Trinity. KuMasowe the Holy Spirit tells us it’s called Trintas.

Christians, we worship the same authorities, but with different principles whereby some follow a constant and consistent Lord kuMasowe, while you, Christians, follow a changing God whose form at a particular time is informed by the individual Christian’s pending desires.

To quote the Christian book, the bible, John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and that Word was God”. John 8:58-59 also says Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple”.

This tells us all veChishanu and Christians alike that Jesus and the Holy Spirit were always there. KuMasowe the Holy Spirit is very clear and clean, “Trintas utatu hwakapfekana hwakagara huriko” (The Trinity is timeless).

The Holy Spirit is God’s mouth, God’s eyes, hands, legs and Messenger. Before man learnt to read and write scriptures, the Holy Spirit spoke to him, and the Holy Spirit never tired up in repeating itself if man was forgetting. I had a response article from Bishop Dave Chikosi about the writing of the bible being inspired by the Holy Spirit, yet the same bishops and

other titled clergymen and their followers alike reject Masowe claims of revelation and inspirational preaching instructed by the Holy Spirit. Christians are as inconsistent as the book they read- and badly follow it selectively by the way.

Which Holy Spirit inspired the writing of the bible? Let’s turn to prophecies about the birth of the Mighty King. All ancient Prophets prophesied about His birth and His might. But the first of two things that was never prophesied was the writing of the bible about Jesus.

The second thing that was never prophesied is the abolishing of Mosaic Laws because of Jesus’ crucifixion. The Old Testament says His might shall be felt in all spheres of the world. Nowhere does it talk about the bible. Of all things that Jesus prophesied would happen after He goes back to His Father, the revelation of a book or it’s compilation was never one of them.

John 14:12 says “What I’m about to tell you is true. Anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. In fact, he will do even greater things. That is because I’m going to the Father”. One can further indulge in reading John 14:15-31. Why did Jesus want to leave or send the Holy Spirit when the God- inspired scriptures were already there?

Indeed Jesus was reading their scriptures in their synagogues when he preached to them so they could accept Him, but to Him, it was the Holy Spirit that is the true Living Word of God, not a written book made of paper from trees that were grown on plantations of pagans and other deity worshippers.

Christians believe their flawed bibles are the living Word of God. We, veMasowe, believe it is the timeless Living Holy Spirit of the Lord, which is the true Living Word of God. You cannot have the Holy Spirit as a Living Word, and a written record, as a living word at the same time. You can only have one. T

he “Word” referred to in John 1:1 is certainly not a written record because there was none in the beginning. Remember the first of The Ten Commandments with the phrase: I’m a jealousy God………..? You can either have the Holy Spirit as the true Living Word or written records as the “living word”.

Sarudzo ndeyako muKristu. KuMasowe takasarudzirwa kare. Before I forget, please do more reading in Acts 2:1-4 about the Holy Spirit. Without any doubt, books or scriptures were there in their numbers, but it was the descending of the Living Holy Spirit that gave the Disciples courage and spiritual power to begin their ministries, not writtenscriptures.

Christians often ask us “mazviwanepi zvamuri kutaura if you don’t read the bible?” Christians, Christians, Christians! What’s wrong with you seriously? The same Holy Spirit that gave Laws to Moses and made Covenants with Him is purely the same Holy Spirit gracing the land of the black man today. The problem is that it possessed an illiterate man from a very humble background. Had the Holy Spirit possessed a noble man maybe many Christian followers toady would be kuMasowe.

Has anyone ever noticed that the same Mosaic Laws that were rejected by Christians after the crucifixion of Jesus were also given to Muslims? Jews follow the same Mosaic Laws. Masowe follow the same Mosaic Laws. Only Christians don’t.

What does that say about Christianity? And what does that tell the reader about the source of the Laws? In my opinion, Christians, through Paul’s revised teachings, effectively disowned Jesus by disowning the Laws that He lived and died by. Christians selectively obey Jesus when it suits them.

Today, through selective obedience, we see church leaders including bishops, vakapema misoro, and some wear earrings and bling bling in church. They say so long the heart is humble before Jesus that’s what matters. But Jesus did not come with Laws. Moses did.

Jesus came to show Himself to us, and pay the ultimate sacrifice, so that man can be remembered and pardoned for his transgressions on Judgement Day. This is what the Holy Spirit says kuMasowe, that Jesus did not come with a Religion.

Jesus did not have to write a book, because He is God incarnate. How can God reveal Himself to Himself? He revealed Himself enough through Moses and other Messengers, it’s up to people to commit themselves properly.

Prophet or Dreamer, Revelation or Dream

Mutumwa Ba Johane was a Prophet, not a dreamer as projected by Bishop Chikosi and gleefully adopted by much of the uninformed readership. The man is a Prophet and a true Messenger of God. Unlike the bible whose entry into Africa was used as an affront to grab all the wealth and inheritance of our fore bearers by whites, Phophet Johane Masowe descended in the wilderness called Africa with nothing apart from the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit was singing “Iwe Ruwaniko ndichengete, Jerusarema ndawoneka, ndichengete” as it descended on Africa which it aptly termed Nyika yeRuwaniko, or simply Ruwaniko. Trees and grass around the Messenger sand, people vekwaNevanji, Mhondoro, heard the grass and trees around the Prophet singing “Hossana, Giroriya, Hallelluja” and they were petrified but amused at the same time.

The first Hossana on African soil was heard from trees and grass singing around the Prophet. Just as promised by Jesus to the Disciples about sending the Holy Spirit not a book, Baba Johane came with that Holy Spirit. It was that Holy Spirit that send him into the wilderness (Masowe) for over a month where he survived on honey and insects (uchi nezvihuta) by miracle.

It was during this time of fasting and prayer in the wilderness that he received a stuff/ knob kerrie/ tsvimbo whose revealed name was Vivinidhairo or Mharuramasango. This stuff, like the stuff used by Prophet Moses before, performed jaw breaking miracles by itself. It sang the first ever “Hossana”, named Hossana yaBaba Johane together with trees and grass because there were no converts as yet to sing for the Prophet. It dug trenches when the Prophet was arrested in Marandellas and forced to work on his Sabbath Day.

There was the Word before the bible. There was the Word in Jesus Himself when he walked in human form on earth. He send the Holy Spirit/ Word when He went back to Heaven. One can see that it’s all about the Holy Spirit throughout, not the book. Sending a book suggests that God got tired of speaking and decided to take a break from us by leaving us to read.

Mwari wekuMasowe does not tire up. Dear reader, if you are not a cynic, can you identify the striking similarities in the Laws given to Prophet Moses, Prophet Muhammad and Prophet Johane Masowe? Can you still call this the result of dreaming?

One more thing, all three Prophets were totally illiterate and from very humble, I mean very humble and poor backgrounds. God did it for a reason. If He had send literate men to be His Prophets, the hypocritical and cynical would have still found reason to reject them saying they read secretly at home and come to disown the scriptures in public.

KuMasowe, Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit, all in one. That is why Jesus did not come to start a Religion. And that is why during Jesus’ time, prophets went low profile, Heaven itself was walking on earth. It was after Jesus send the Holy Spirit back to earth from Heaven that Prophets including Muhammad whose Religion rejects Jesus as God’s Son, were born again.

The same Holy Spirit that inspired and revealed everything recorded about Prophet Moses is the same Holy Spirit that speaks through Masowe yeChishanu today. God is omnipotent, omnipresent omniscient.

That is why He passes the same Laws from Religion to Religion. Prophet Johane was indeed a Prophet and Messenger of God send to Africa. Johane Masowe yeChishanu is not a church as with the Christian faith, rather, it is a Religion. It is a way of life on earth and life after life. We only live by what has been revealed.

Brethren Innocent Ngwaru argued that Jesus saved Christians from the bondage of Mosaic Laws. Eish! I wish I couldn’t believe this to be the rationalisation of all Christians, but judging by the way they behave in their faith, he is right and talking on behalf of them all. Here is my question brethren, if God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all One, doesn’t it strike in your mind that the Laws given to Moses by God were also given by Jesus?

Did God sacrifice anyone for Him to give those Laws to Moses? Why would Jesus come to save Christians from the bondage of Laws that He Himself instructed and came to live by throughout His life? Does that make sense at all? Oh poor Christians! They have eyes but they don’t see. They have ears but hear nothing. What that literally means is one is brain dead, all sensorium is paralysed. These are not my words, they are in the bible.

If Christians wanted to be honest, they should have named their Religion Paulinity not Christianity because they follow Paul in the name of Jesus but Paul was not a Messenger of God. Christians practice selective obedience when matters suit the desires of their flesh.

If the Laws deny them freedom to indulge, they simply circumvent that Law and hide behind Paulinity. Jesus couldn’t give new Laws because they were already there and they were all from Him. Jesus did not start a Religion, He send Prophets to different ethnicities to convert people then surrender them to Him.

He even announced this to Simon when He renamed him Simon Peter that He would make him a fisher of men. Unfortunately, Jews rejected Jesus. Muslims accepted Him, but only as a Prophet not Messiah or Saviour, but they believe that He shall return to collect all the righteous- living and dead. Only Johane Masowe yeChishanu wholly embraced Jesus. KuMasowe, He is called Emaintos or Edhamureta. We live in His ways.

Morals

Masowe yeChishanu prohibits tattooes of any kind. They are evil. I noticed even the bible prohibits them too, only that it’s in the Old Testament which they disregard (Leviticus 19:28). Check out the number of Christians with tattooes out there today. Did Jesus have them? But like brethren Innocent Ngwaru said, “so long your heart”, everything else doesn’t matter even if God prohibits it. But doesn’t the outward dressing interpret what’s inside the heart? Can the body wear what the heart doesn’t want?

Men must wear beards kuMasowe, so was the same instruction in Mosaic Laws, so is the same instruction in Islam. This confirms that these Prophets who founded these Religions were all send from one source. We follow our Sabbath Days every week. We don’t celebrate Xmas, Easter and New Year. Those are not revealed or divine days. Look at the level of immorality around Xmas Holiday. Does that have anything to do with Jesus?

Easter is a Holiday for remembering the crucifixion according to Christians, they hold it once a year and honour Good Friday once. In Masowe, every week, we solemnly remember the crucifixion of Emaintos from Thursday afternoon throughout all Friday.

As our Sabbath Day comes every week, so does our honour of that Holy Day. We refrain from so many things that are otherwise allowed like cooking or killing anything (except a dangerous animal that has crept into one’s compound). We abstain from consummation for those who are married. For the single, it is already a known sin called adultery to sleep with anybody.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God. Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord your God. “When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted (Leviticus 19:1-37).

If anybody walks around wearing a Cross purportedly as a way of showing their Christian faith, that is detestable before the Lord. The Holy Spirit through Baba Johane rejects these. The Covenant of 1936 rejects them. Those from Masowe yeChishanu who wear banished artefacts like zvipiyaniso zvekuveza are in contempt of the Law. Zvese zvakarambwa naMwari izvi.

KuMasowe, God does not bless divorces. He encourages family. He therefore decreed that a man can only divorce his wife for only two reasons if he chooses to: adultery and refusing to convert to the Masowe Religion. According to Masowe, a woman cannot be divorced for being lazy or of poor personal hygiene (pfende/ chapa) or because she is barren or doesn’t cook delicious dishes.

There are ways in place which believers can use to seek help for their marital issues without divorcing. A man who divorces his wife for any forbidden reason and marries another wife commits adultery. This keeps the family intact. Anybody who thinks God blessed him/her by terminating his/her marriage is a fool.

Similar Laws were given to Prophet Moses. But Paul abolished those Laws. Because of too much lack of Laws or contempt of them in the church, the level of divorce is unprecedented.

The majority if not almost 100% of these divorces are not due to adultery or refusal by the spouse to follow a Religion, they are due to irreconcilable differences- in other words, incompatibility between two sets of weak morals, which further shows a pattern of selective obedience by Christians.

Just think and try to remember how many Christians are in second or third marriages today that you know? It’s because people have rejected the Law and use human rationalisation in negotiating matters that require spiritually inspired guidance.

Mwari waAbraham, Mwari waIsaka, Mwari waMoses, Mwari waJakopo etc

Yes, Christians do ask questions around this about Masowe. Because their Religion started from the day of crucifixion so it seems. KuMasowe, the Holy Spirit tells us that the birth of Jesus did not just happen because God so decided.

It was the result of years of fasting and prayers by those of His lineage. Abraham is recognised as Baba veChinamato because through his prayers, everything else was born and fulfilled. So when Madzibaba mention the names of Prophets from long ago in prayer or in preaching, it’s not because we are worshipping them, but we’re acknowledging the hard work they did in praying for the coming of Jesus. Chete chete!

From the time Jacob was named Israel, it took 14 generations for Jesus to be born. Jacob had 14 children, 2 were daughters. Jesus had 12 Disciples, each representing the twelve houses of Israel. This is what the Holy Spirit tells us. I don’t know if this is also explained anywhere in the bible.

Moses did profoundly hard work under extremely difficult circumstance. The Holy Spirit tells us kuMasowe that for the promised King of Kings Jesus to be born, the house of Israel had to be a free nation not under servitude in Egypt. So Moses bore a heavy burden of fasting and calming a constantly tempestuous family of Israel.

There is nothing wrong in acknowledging these profoundly great of the greatest men, we are taught by the Holy Spirit that they actually have thrones in Heaven and because they were named by God Himself, their names are those of Angels in Heaven too.

“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God” (Exodus 3:6; Acts 7:32 & Matthew 22:32). This was God Himself saying these words, so nothing wrong with Masowe repeating them.

I hope the church will learn to live in peace with the Johane Masowe yeChishanu Religion. Until God recalls His Religion which is unlikely, later-day prophets and preachers are chasing shadows and groping in the dark by talking about a true revealed Religion which they know little about. The best way to understand something is by learning it, not criticising it for the sake of gaining popularity. Kupotsera dope rimwe rinosara muruoko. Clean the ways of the Christian faith first before noticing the dirt in Masowe.

It might turn out that there is no dirt at all, one simply refuses to understand about the Religion.

The moment a leader of the church starts lecturing the world about Baba Johane establishing a “church” as recent as 1942 as Bishop Chikosi claimed, then we veChishanu, know the man is uninformed or quoted from dodgy website. He may still be talking about a certain Johane or John, but certainly not the Messenger of God Mutumwa Johane Masowe. To his credit though, I applaud Bishop Dave Chikosi for not being arrogant in his response. Thank you sir. You showed maturity of the mind and contact.

The moment one claims that Masowe does not believe in Jesus or Jesus saved him from bondage to Mosaic Laws is the moment it becomes clear that the man simply knows nothing.

It shows itself in the way the man attacks Madzibaba with paroxysmal and emotive dispatches which in themselves do not clearly express any facts other than rancour. It simply exposes his lack of knowledge and wisdom. Ignorance breeds arrogance.

Ndatenda Zvangu. Madzibaba Tawona.
