By Tawanda Marwizi

Dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu disappointed fans over the weekend when he appeared late on stage at Makoni Business Centre in Chitungwiza.

The “Kwedu” singer was scheduled to perform at 10pm, but he only hit the stage after midnight prompting fans to hurl insults at him.

Suluman or simply Sulu was forced to apologise but that did not help matters.

“I am sorry for the delay we had a tyre puncture on the road,” he said.

But fans could not have any of that as they continued shouting at the Orchestra Dendera leader.

Sulu’s publicist Joe “Local” Nyamungoma blamed the state of the roads as the major cause of the delay.

“We hit a pothole and our tyre got damaged. We would like to apologise for the delay,” said Nyamungoma.

He vowed not to delay in their upcoming shows.

Fans challenged the musician to engage Zinara to resurface the roads.

Apparently Sulu is the Zinara ambassador.

However, Sulu played songs from his new album “Gunship” including “Phone”, “Moto”, “Nyuchi” and “Nhororondo”.

Although he put up a polished act he failed to ignite the party mood among fans who had waited for long before the gig started. The Herald
