Stuart Baxter confirmed last week that Musona is coming back to AmaKhosi with both teams having already agreed in ‘principle’ for the Zimbabwean striker to return to South Africa’s Premier Soccer League.

However, the two teams are yet to put pen to paper for the deal to go through, and Hoffenheim are now considering other options that will see them off-load Musona permanently.

“The two teams are yet to close the Musona deal, but chances of him returning (to Chiefs) are still good. However, there are other teams in the picture now, but that doesn’t mean the deal won’t go through,” the source told Goal.

“It looks like the only obstacle now is for the two teams to agree on ‘an option to buy’ clause at the end of Musona’s loan deal next season,” added the source.

The 24-year-old hitman has always wanted to pursue his European dream, but he could be forced to remain in the PSL beyond 2015 should Chiefs and Hoffenheim agree terms about his future at the end of his loan spell.

The Soweto giants, who have started this season with four straight wins, sold Musona to the Bundesliga side in 2011 but brought him back on a season-long loan deal last season and they now want to buy the player back next season. Goal.com
