Mutuma at Moroka Swallows for trials

Zimbabwe international striker Rodreck Mutuma is at South African Premiership side Moroka Swallows where he is set for an assessment over the next two weeks, starting from today.

Rodreck Mutuma was released by Bloemfontein Celtic

He could return to the Absa Premiership early after he was offloaded by Bloemfontein Celtic during the January transfer window.

Mutuma had been signed by Dynamos on a one-year deal but could not play for the champions as there were problems with his papers and was only expected to be registered when the window opens next week.

However, the tall striker may not feature for the Glamour Boys if his management team inks a deal with the Johannesburg club.

Mutuma left for South Africa yesterday and his manager Edzai Kasinauyo, who was already in Johannesburg for a series of meetings with the club, said nothing has been concluded yet.

“He will train with them for 10 days and it is like an assessment and a closer look at him. He may get a deal as they are looking for a striker. He is an option for them,” said Kasinauyo.
