MDC-T Secretary General Tendai Biti pictured in Milton Park, Harare at what is alleged to be the new offices for the rebels within the party who want to unseat founding president Morgan Tsvangirai. The offices were allegedly secured by expelled Deputy Treasurer General Elton Mangoma.
Our sources claim the party rebels were holding a planning meeting in the wake of fears the MDC-T MP’s who support them are developing cold feet at the prospect of losing their seats in parliament.
“We understand they want to engineer a national council meeting and announce that have have expelled Tsvangirai. The idea is to deliberately create legal confusion and so protect the MP’s who support their agenda,” a source familiar with developments claimed.
