Tsvangirai Gweru rally in Pictures

MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai took his road trip to Gweru on Sunday, drumming up support amongst party supporters. The rally was the second in Midlands after the one held in Zhombe last week. 

The rally at Mkoba stadium, comes at a time when Tsvangirai has been calling for unity and inviting all founding members of the party to come together under a “bigger tent” ahead of the 2018 elections.

“The objective of the rally on Sunday will be to first explain to the people of Gweru that MDC-T did not lose the elections last year but they were rigged. The other significant matter will be to urge supporters of the party to be united and turn a blind eye on Zanu (PF) machinations of dividing the party.

“The president and other officials will also use the rally to invite founding members of the MDC-T who had left, to come back and join forces so that Zanu (PF) is handed a shock defeat in 2018. “Above all, we will continue to spread the gospel of peace and love at that rally,” said Mkoba MP and MDC-T National Executive Member Amos Chibaya.
