The Chitungwiza bred rapper grabbed headlines last week after he released a song titled Maghetto Yutes Hamugeze ‘dissing’ Zim dancehall chanters, raising the ire of Tazoita Cash Records boss Desmond “Stunner” Chideme.

Speaking to H-Metro from Australia, Stunner expressed anger over the young chanter’s behaviour saying he had been sacked from his stable.

“Carlos Green is part of my team and Tazoita Cash Records has nothing to do with that song.

“I am still in Australia and for quite a while I had been advising Carlos not to record that song and he clearly did not listen.

“I don’t want anything to do with that sort of behaviour and as musicians, we have all started from the bottom and I respect all the dancehall and other musicians and I apologise for such behaviour,” fumed Stunner.

He added:

“We are past that era and just when the industry is picking up, I am totally againist any negative lyrics towards other mates.

“Since we are recognised globally, we have to rise as a team, as Zimbabwe, not individuals.

“I want to work with positive constructive energy in my team and I asked him not to record that song.

“I have sent him a text telling he is no longer part of Tazoita Cash Records. On that note, I have had a very successful show in Perth, Australia and will be back home soon.

Contacted for comments, Carlos disowned Stunner as his boss.

“I did not sign any contract with him and I am surprised because I am the best rapper in Zimbabwe saka ndenge ndichitei ikoko.

“That song is not dissing anyone but its educating Zim dancehall artists.

“After all, Stunner is not my father to tell me what to do with a song that I wrote on my own, haasi dhara rangu.”

Carlos has been working with Tazoita Cash Records for more than eight months and the Team Shark has also denounced Carlos’s behaviour.

In the song, Carlos urged the local chanters to take a leaf at clue from their veterans such as Winky D and Sniper.

He also advised the musicians to get lessons from the urban grooves artists such as Stunner, Nox and Ngonie Kambarami.
