Mliswa reportedly infuriated Chinotimba and others present when he argued that it was strange that the Zanu PF Government mourned about sanctions yet bought vehicles from the same countries that imposed the embargo, instead of supporting the local Willowvale Mazda Motor Industries.

It was then that Chinotimba accused Mliswa of failing to support fellow party legislators in parliamentary debates. The allegations triggered protests from Mliswa who charged at Zanu PF Chief Whip Joram Gumbo, insisting that he was entitled to respond.

When Gumbo insisted that Mliswa had already spoken the verbal sparring continued for another 10 minutes until Gumbo granted Mliswa the floor. Gumbo later insisted that “at the end of the meeting both Cde Mliswa and Cde Chinotimba embraced each other”.
