Wits midfielder, Denver Mukamba, is going nowhere, despite media in Zimbabwe linking him with a loan return to the country of his birth.

The Zimbabwe international, who recently turned 21, has struggled to cement a first team place under Gavin Hunt at Wits, although he is believed to be a highly-rated prospect for the future of the club.

Due to the player’s lack of game time it has been reported in his home country that he could return to his former club, Dynamos, on loan in January, though The Clever Boy’s CEO, Jose Ferreira, has denied that that is the case.

His former coach at Dynamos, Callisto Pasuwa, told Zimbabwe’s Daily News, “I haven’t seen him but I heard he came looking for me at the Warriors camp.

“But if it’s true that he wants to come back, we are more than willing to accommodate him. You know Denver is one player you can always count on. We are in the Champions League and he is the type of player any coach would want in his team.”

However, Ferreira told the Siya crew, “There’s no truth in that, Denver is going nowhere. He’s a very talented player and he certainly won’t be leaving us any time soon.”

Mukamba will be hoping to break into the Wits first team in the near future as he continues to improve and build on his already impressive reputation. Soccer Laduma
