Pastor Chimusoro confessed that he had misused the money which was meant for purchasing the musical instruments for the police

Chimusoro (46) was not formally charged when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei facing theft of trust property charges. Prosecutor Ms Sharon Mashavira told the court that Chimusoro was in the music industry and owned music equipment for hiring.

It is alleged that in May, Chief Superintendent Marange of the police Staff College engaged Chimusoro to supply the force with musical instruments. Chimusoro allegedly charged US$192 000 and was paid in July and September.

Ms Mashavira said on November 14, Chimusoro supplied eight speakers to the police which were of low value and they were subsequently returned.

On September 10, it is alleged that Chimusoro confessed that he misused the money which was meant for purchasing the musical instruments. The Herald
