MDC 14th Anniversary Rally in Pictures

The MDC led by founding president Morgan Tsvangirai is today celebrating its 14th anniversary inside Sakubva Stadium in Mutare. The party said it wanted to make “a bold statement that we are here to stay and we are more than ready to pursue, overtake and recover all after rigged national elections.”

Party leader Tsvangirai told the thousands gathered that “We don’t apologize for our existence. They (Zanu PF) can have the manufactured majority in Parliament and cabinet but they don’t have a people’s mandate.”

Below are some of the pictures from the celebrations……..more pictures will be loaded as we get them…..

Snippets from Morgan Tsvangirai speech

We don’t apologize for our existence. They can have the manufactured majority in Parliament and cabinet but they don’t have a people’s mandate

We know the people of Zimbabwe won the elections but lost the results. History always tells us that people will claim their victory. It is the people who win at the end. #heretostay

I want to make it clear that we remain on course. We are not just an opposition movement. We are i a struggle and until change has arrived, we remain committed. #heretostay

Our agenda from day one is democracy, we are a movement for democratic change, that is our value. #heretostay

The nation has had all hope shattered but I ask you not be despondent. Our collective challenge is not to give up.

We want to act in full compliance with the Constitution. We want to avoid chaos in Zimbabwe #heretostay
