Fungisai jets in for UK gospel shows

LONDON – Gospel singer Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave arrived at London’s Gatwick Airport on Wednesday around 7:30pm ahead of a UK tour that will see her stage two shows supported by fellow gospel singers Obert Mazivisa and Caroline Rumbi who are both based in the UK.
Speaking to Nehanda Radio, Judy Mukumbi from JJH Promotions confirmed that Fungisai will perform at the Holy Trinity Church in Leicester (Post Code: LE1 6WY) on Saturday the 14th of September and Concord House, Essex (Post Code: RM8 1ST) on Sunday the 15th, the following day.
“Both shows have doors opening at 1600hrs and ending at 2230hrs. For admission we are charging adults £15 (advance) and £20 at the door while children will pay £5,” Mukumbi told Nehanda Radio. On Thursday and Friday Fungisai will be holding her rehearsals in Luton, Mukumbi told us.
Meanwhile Fungisai told us she will be launching her new album “Wenyasha Ndewe Nyasha” in the UK and will play some of the songs during her two shows in which she will be backed by the New Green Arrows band and some members of her band who are based in Zimbabwe.
“I want all my fans to come because I have come here for them and want to spend time with them,” she told Nehanda Radio from Luton.
