“There are fears that villagers from Chimunhu (Mangirazi) village in the malaria prone district of Mudzi, in Chief Mukota might succumb to the deadly disease as the nearest healthy centre is turning them away after their contributions towards the health centre were ”blown” by their village head Tonderai Munetsi.
Villagers from Chimunhu either go to Masarakufa Healthy Centre or Chimukoko Health Centre whenever they need medical assistance. However, the villagers are being turned away for having arrears which amount to USD$70,00 at one of these two Health Centres. This is not the first time Munetsi, who claims to be a war veteran, has squandered such monetary contributions willy-nilly.

Zanu PF using a Johanne Marange Prophet Sam Charumbira to lure youth to vote it into power. Charumbira who is just using his ability to predict some future events was implicated in Elias Kanengoni’s death. He was given a farm and a tractor and his rural home was electrified by Zanu PF.
Emmerson Mnangagwa is the man who believes in this man’s prophecies. Each and every church gathering he will take government officials to the church. Today they are gathered in Mafararikwa in Marange village and several Zanu ministers will go and attend the sabath as from 2-4pm.
They will use this platform to campaign for the forthcoming elections. Sam Charumbira who is moving an anti Mushowe campaign will be giving instructions to each and every govt official. Charumbira is driving state of art govt vehicles and is now richer than b4.

Gweru teen stabs man over small house
A man (21) from Thornhill Air Base in Gweru died after he was stabbed with a broken bottle in the stomach following a misunderstanding over a girlfriend.
An argument is said to have occurred between Farai Chibvaru and Mududuzi Makamu (19) who was armed with a broken bottle and stabbed Chibvaru, ripping open the stomach before disappearing into the night.
However, Chibvaru managed to walk towards Thornhill but collapsed and died as he approached the entrance of the air base. Acting Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has appealed to the public to find better ways of fixing their misunderstandings.
ZBC Licence Fees
I just want to ask is it fair for ZBC to demand TV licences fees when i access it through DSTV after paying $75 and i don’t watch it after all. Are they not supposed to be paid by MultiChoice if its the agreement.
My radio is in the bedroom and the licence inspector wanted to check for it which I vehemently refused. Now there is Star FM and ZiFM. Is ZBC entitled again to sorely collect the radio licence fees because I might be a ZiFM listener or Star FM.

Hwarare, a Zanu PF politician and a unionist in the Chiredzi sugar industry has done it again on workers. He connived with Tongaat Hulet Zimbabwe to deduct 15% of the basic salary of all non union members as a garnish for the wage increase of 6% which he negotiated.

Polytechnics in Zimbabwe
At Polytechnics in Zimbabwe, what is happening is not fair. If you are full time at college (not attachment) you pay the total tuition fees that’s fine. But when you are on attachment (not at college) you still pay the full amount, for what, when you do not have access to lecturers and college facilities? The one visit they make to students on attachment can not justify the full tuition fees paid by students this is daylight robbery.

Labour Justice in Zimbabwe
I am so disgruntled by our labour justice system in our country and I think its been like that for so long. Its very unfortunate that our employers have been given the leeway to abuse the system at the expense of the employees. Around last year l got an arbitration award in my favour after waiting for almost 13 months to have my appeal considered.
Instead of reinstating me or quantifying the benefits my employer chose to wait another month and submit a notice of intent to appeal and later made an application for stay of execution. Now its been 6 months and that application has not been granted after we chose not to oppose it. Surely should I have to stay for almost 3 years now so that probably a case may be given just a date for a hearing.
Having made a follow up with the offices I was only told kuti please be patient,we have thousands and thousands of waiting cases. So honestly should that be an excuse of providing justice to masses in Zimbabwe. And why is the government waiting and not doing anything about that. Justice delayed is justice denied, we can do better that please.
Diaspora should go and vote
In South Africa, we are encouraging Zimbabweans, as bread winners, to play a role in the coming elections by instructing their relatives and friends to register to vote and to vote. Corruption at Passport Office in Harare
“There is so much corruption at Makombe passport office. Its very organised and you can not report to anyone because everyone from tea ladies to the supervisors is involved.There is a guy called Hapipo in the passport office. This guy is a leader of the syndicate. He works with those cameramen outside and a chain of officials inside.
They get bribes from desperate people telling them that their passports will come in no time. He fleeced a lot of people, but those people never got the results. Hapipo usatamba nebasa rinopera, there is no room for corruption in a new Zimbabwe. I’m not going to rest until justice and cleansing are done at Makombe.

Zanu PF councillor dies
Zanu pf councillor collapses and dies in beerhall holding a pint. Mr Ndere was a councillor for many yrs in Mberengwa in Danga ward . He was also a school head at Don Bosco primary school . On 29 may around 7pm, he was drinking at Dongijena cocktail bar. He just collapsed and died. He was taken to Mposi clinic and then White hospital in Zvishavane where he was pronounced dead. Chief Chikwaka of Goromonzi accepted bribery from a certain individual settler who was resettled at Almers field here in Goromonzi the bribery was for this settler to get a position of village head from this newly inaugurated chief Chikwaka the settler popularly known as Tembo Mazvimba will get the position this Saturday 1 June 2013 as village head of Almers Field after a bribe of US$200.
This position arose after settlers complained with the current village head Mike Kabange who was dismissed publicly by Chief Chikwaka on a gathering organised by Almers Field settlers on 29 May 2013. Same issue is in the pipeline at another resettlement farm next to Almers Field where Chief Chikwaka was bribed with a beast by aspiring village head candidate Mr Derek Chawora. That’s what is happening here in our area.

We went to war against Rhodesia
We went to war against Rhodesia because we were classified as second class citizens. We were denied the right to vote (universal suffrage). Our lives as black people were characterised by deprivation and exclusion in all areas of life. The hallmark of our struggle was democracy.
People left their loved ones and braved hardship as a result for this resolute quest for democracy. Our people lie at Chimoio, Tembwe, Mboroma and Nyadzoniya because they wanted democracy. Anyone, no matter who he or she is, who takes the people of Zimbabwe for a ride, and tramples on their rights through intimidation, must be condemned in the strongest terms.
Hate speeches do not have any place in the democratic dispensation. Taking advantage of rural people and their poverty is a political sin against democracy. Zimbabweans, identify those people and parties who abuse you, torture you, frighten you into supporting them. Do not support them. Pretend you are with them, but when it comes to voting, exercise your democratic right.
Let us promote a culture where people from the political divide can mix and mingle freely and then work for the good of the country. We are tired of slogans. We had them since the war. What we now want are material benefits of the struggle not slogans and hate speeches. Benefits of independence must be seen on the generality of the Zimbabwean people, not just a few families.
Let us vote for people not because they frighten us, but because they offer hope to us; hope of economic recovery for us and generations to follow. Hope that our education can again be among the best on the African continent, hope that we can live in peace as brothers and sisters irregardless of tribe and language, hope that our urban and rural areas will have running water, hope that our young people will have jobs and also that our agriculture can be boosted so our country can again become the bread basket of the SADC.
I REPEAT, DO NOT HOPE FOR ANYONE WHOSE LANGUAGE IS FORCE, MURDER, RAPE, TORTURE; we did not go to war to make each other suffer and become the laughing stock of the region the continent and the world, let alone live in fear of our brothers and sister.
Expose those who use fear on you to the world, expose those who torture loot and rape in the name of politicians or any political party to the world, remember God is watching. One day justice will catch up with all wrongdoers, especially those who trample upon people ‘s rights. Fight for your rights. Vote for a political party of your choice, resist intimidation passively. That is democracy.
