The unidentified man was engaged in steel joinery work about fifteen meters from ground when the corner-stone of the building collapsed bringing the metal shed of the structure down and trapping him as a result.

Five more ordinary shoppers were recovered from the rubble and were seriously injured in the accident that has forced temporary closure of one of Harare’s busiest shopping outlets. They have since been rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital.

The building has been under construction for months and was nearing completion.
