HARARE – A church pastor with the House of Worship church has landed himself in trouble for allegedly fondling a married woman.

Pastor Godfrey Badza, 39, is accused of advising the woman to cheat on her husband after he allegedly advised her to have another boyfriend to satisfy her sexual needs amid reports that she had been having problems with her husband over the bedroom issues.
The man of the cloth appeared in court charged with aggravated indecent assault. The State consented to bail and he was ordered to pay US$50 and not to interfere with witnesses. He was also remanded to May 27 for trial.
Claims are that on March 28 at around 5pm, Badza went to the complainant’s place of residence as he heard that she was having problems with her husband. It is alleged that after the counsel, Badza picked the complainant from the church mate’s house and they agreed to go to a ‘secure and calm’ place to discuss’.
The court heard that they drove along Beatrice Road near Boka Tobacco Auction Floors and Badza parked in a bushy path and locked the doors and windows to the vehicle. It is said that the woman narrated to Badza that her husband was not performing his duties in the bedroom.
Badza allegedly advised her that she finds another boyfriend to satisfy her sexual desires. It is alleged the ‘man of the cloth’ began to fondle the woman’s body and lifted her skirt before inserting his fingers in her privates.
Further claims are that Badza took the woman’s hand and made her feel his privates. He went on to drop the woman at her house and advised her not to tell anyone about their ‘day’. She however could not betray her husband and told him of the incident before it was reported to the police.
