Justice Hlekani Mwayera during the pre-trial conference told the pairs’ lawyers Samukange and Venturas and Mhishi Legal Practice to sit down with their clients with a view to settling the matter out of court.

She said the parties involved were wasting the court’s time before postponing the matter to March 20 when they are expected to brief the court on their deliberations.

Eng Chifamba’s lawyers, Samukange and Venturas, advised the judge that a proper reconciliation should be done on the car rental debt and if they would be any outstanding balance it should be offset by the engineering firm. On the US$1,2 million he said Chiyangwa should propose an acceptable offer.
