According to Paul Freire “Oppression – overwhelming control – is necrophiliac; it is nourished by the love of death, not life”. Who ever killed young Christpower Maisiri is full of hate and loves death. RIP young Christpower Maisiri!!

No political party should use this sad loss of life to gain some political mileage. A young and innocent life has been lost in the most gruesome murder. I am saddened. We call for political tolerance in Zimbabwe. First of all, we must have political tolerance amongst ourselves.
Whilst we kill and torture one another, Zimbabwe is decaying. Is this my Zimbabwe? Is this our Zimbabwe? Is this the way we should campaign in Zimbabwe? We have been gullible to allow decadent gangsters, opportunists, cronies, crooks and scoundrels to run our country affairs.
The instruments of the state have been used to torture demonstrating citizens. Political intolerance has been bedevilling our political maturity and development as a nation. A civilised nation is seen by its tolerance to political views of other citizens; its ability to robustly debate political issues.
For how long shall we look and allow violence to manifest in our society? Young and innocent blood has been spilt because of political intolerance. A young life has been lost in the name of a political party. Violence has been going on and should come to an end.
We are on the crossroads in Zimbabwe. President Robert Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will leave the political arena one day; there is no doubt about it. Murderers will remain murderers and blood will continue to drip from their hands.
We can not just keep quiet and watch this barbarism unfolding in front of our eyes. It is painful because we are the agents of change. We must accept opinions and political views of other people.
We encourage all peace loving Zimbabweans to pay NO heed to the arguments or the commands of those who call on them to bear a hand on violence and murder. By such a steadfast refusal to make use of violence, the world will recognise us as having aided in the reformation of mankind.
These murderers should be brought to justice. Mugabe should send a message to the whole world that his recent preaching on non-violence is a genuine call and should be adhered to. As long as theses murderers are freely roaming the country, the next elections would be bloodier than the previous one.
Anyone who spills blood should be locked behind bars and people should be allowed to freely express their opinions. May you rest in peace Christpower Maisiri. My heart is bleeding.
