Raunchy dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda who will feature as a medic at the Musicians vs Soccer Legends Charity match, has revealed that she is capable of playing soccer and wishes to take her skills onto the pitch.
Bev who has taken the country by storm with her dance routines claims she used to play football during her school days but never pursued it as a career and opted for the dance floor instead.
“I can play football, I’m not sure as to the position that I play but I can play as a striker. Back in school, I used to play but it was not serious.
“If I can be accorded the opportunity, I can play on the day,” she said. Her manager Harpers Mapimhidze said Bev is geared for the match. “Anenge achivarapa ana Suluman,” said Mapimhidze.
The Soccer Legends vs Musicians match has been slated for January 26. Dynamos and Black Rhinos will curtain raise on the day while the print and electronic media game is also slated for the same day.
This year’s match will also see a moment of silence in honour of the late Highlanders and Zimbabwe national team striker, Adam Ndlovu who was set to appear for the soccer legends before he died in a car accident in Victoria Falls.
