Welshman Ncube’s son killed in car accident
The president of the smaller MDC and Minister of Industry and Commerce Professor Welshman Ncube on Friday his son, Ntabiso Ncube, who died in a tragic car accident.
Ntabiso (19) was involved in car accident near his fathers Greendale home in Harare at 2am. Police spokesperson Superintendent Andrew Phiri confirmed Ntabiso’s death. “Ntabiso was driving a nissan hardbody when he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a precast wall. He died on the spot,” he said.
Mourners are gathered at No 12 Leander Road in Greendale and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. In a statement MDC deputy national spokesperson, Kurauone Chihwayi, said the country had lost an upcoming lawyer.
“The MDC has received with great shock and sadness the passing away of Ntabiso Ncube, the son of MDC president Welshman Ncube. Ntabiso Ncube was involved in a car accident in Harare this (yesterday) morning.
“Ntabiso was born on 21 February 1993. At the time of his tragic death he was studying towards attaining a law degree at Rhodes University in South Africa.
“The MDC joins the Ncube family in mourning the sad loss of one of the brilliant sons of the land. The nation has been robbed of one of the brilliant lawyers in the making,” Chihwayi said.
“We pray that the comforting spirit of the Lord be with the family and the people of Zimbabwe during this difficult time.” Sunday News
