Alleged ‘leaker’ of Stunner bedroom tape arrested

HARARE- A top businessman’s socialite daughter whose name was sucked in the Stunner sex tape saga has been arrested. The young woman, Mercy Nhodza -in her mid 20s- was picked up by police last Saturday on allegations of conspiring with a group of eight men with intentions of robbing her well to do ex-boyfriend.

He is believed to be a wealthy businessman only identified as Pound or Tonderai Pasi. Mercy was picked up at Pomona Service Station after members of the Criminal Investigation Department acted on a tip off and prevented the commission of the hatched crime. CID spokesperson Detective Inspector Augustine Zimbili confirmed the arrest.

“I can confirm that we are detaining Mercy Nhodza as we are undertaking investigations in conspiracy to armed robbery.

“However, we successfully prevented the commission of the crime and used the intelligence at our disposal after surveillance at the target’s house and busted the would be criminals before they made good their plan. Mercy is however still helping police with investigations hence we cannot divulge more in fear of jeorpadising our investigations,” said Detective Inspector Zimbili.

He added that two unlicenced firearms were also recovered.

“We are also investigating the illegal possession of firearms since we discovered two pistols which we believe are unlicenced,” he added. Information reaching H-Metro is that Mercy was going out with this businessman identified as Pound.  They however, fell out when Pound married another woman recently.

This has been suggested to be the reason Mercy would have been keen to hit back at Pound. However, this remains speculative as both parties were not available for comment. While little is known about Mercy, a Google profile under her name says: “I am just a black sister trying to make it in this world. I believe happiness is not a destination it’s a journey. I believe in loving like you have never been hurt. I believe in life…”

Under the same profile, Mercy has been at several institutions of higher learning like Monash (South Africa), Buckingham University,  Greenwich University and Greenwich School of business.

Only last week Mercy was being accused of ‘leaking’ a sex video featuring Urban Grooves artiste, Stunner and his girlfriend Pokello. The unsubstantiated claim was that Mercy was hitting back at Pokello for trying to snatch Pound from her on the occasions she visited the USA where he stayed.

However, there are those who believe Stunner deliberately leaked the images as a publicity stunt. Again this remains speculative.

Pound is currently back in Zimbabwe while reasons for leaving the USA have remained speculative. He is considered cash rich and travels in fancy cars, including a Hummer which was involved in an accident last week. H Metro
