Vimbai Sithole crowned Miss Zim-SA 2011

PRETORIA- Twenty-One year old Centurion based model Vimbai Grace Sithole was crowned Miss Zim-SA 2011 at a red carpet ceremony held at the Pretoria City Hall in South Africa over the weekend.

First Princess went to crowd favourite, Samantha Kudzai Nyamapanda and Lisa Skhosana was Second Princess. This year’s event, although it started almost two hours late, was very well attended, and was themed as a red carpet event, to which the attending crowd did not disappoint, turning up in their sleek outfits.

Speaking at the event, Guest of Honour, Gabriel Shumba, of the Zimbabwe Exiles Forum, thanked the organisers of the event for bringing together the Zimbabwean community in the capital as well as throughout the country.

Shumba said he hoped that the event will get more sponsorship and become a truly national event, including Zimbabweans in all parts of South Africa.

Executive Director of the Miss Zimbabwe Pageant Company Thamsanqa Ncube congratulated the winners and noted that “the pageant was becoming a fast growing brand, and was starting to attract a bit of sponsorship.”
