Last week we reported how Zimbabwean politician Justine Chiota killed his wife before committing suicide at his Morningside home in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this picture exclusive we have an inside look into his garage.
Gauteng police said Chiota’s estranged wife arrived at his residence in East Road last week Tuesday morning. She was at his residence, with police, to serve him a protection order. Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said Chiota opened fire before turning the gun on himself.
The Zimbabwe Peoples’ Party founding member and lawyer made headlines in South Africa in August 2008 after it emerged he was driving a black VIP Mercedes-Benz S600 vehicle, linked to the South African Presidency but registered under his name. The car had been locked in a garage in Sandton for months.
