Bulawayo giants Highlanders Football Club have sacked manager Madinda Ndlovu citing their poor league form.
Bosso as they are affectionately known have won only 7 matches out of 21 games and lie a lowly 10th in the league. It means the club are already out of the race to win the league championship.
The legendary club striker replaced Methembe Ndlovu following on last season’s disastrous campaign when Highlanders finished 7th. But it seems former players are failing to turn things around.
The last time Bosso won the title was in 2006 when they were on a consecutive run of league titles.
Highlanders Chairman Themba Ndlela said they had parted company with Ndlovu amicably, adding a new coach will be named before season’s end.
