Edene'- “Time for the Music”
Genre: Pop
Alternative
Imagine
the beautiful safari of Zimbabwe , Africa . The wind blows softly,
and the thunderous sound of tribal drums beat rhythmically in the
distance. Through the forests walks a beautiful lioness…brazen and
strong. Her presence demands the attention of all, you are forced to
stop and listen. Such is the case with 20 year old recording artist,
Edene'. “I'd like to think of myself as a lioness… warm, strong and
determined”, Edene' said after she was asked what best describes her
as an artist and individual. And for those who know this articulate
young woman know agree with this description. Some say this ambition
was instilled by her parents who are equally ambitious, her father
being a politician and her mother a fourth grade teacher.
Edene' was born on September 7 th 1986 in
Zimbabwe a small country in Southern Africa where she was raised as
well. She developed her melodic and addictive sounds from a young
age taking part in school plays and musicals, and was also a member
of her school and church choirs. Since writing her first song at the
age of 13 and performing it, this Zimbabwean beauty has known that
she wanted to sing and entertain ever. Edene' is a talented
singer/songwriter and co-producer who plans to take the
entertainment industry by storm! She teamed up with several
producers, namely Derek Duwayne of Y.A.R Entertainment and Charles
Jangano of Slay Productions a living musical legend in her native
Zimbabwe , to create addictive pop beats like in such songs as “8
Steps” and “If Only”, a story about lost love. When asked about her
song writing and the songs on the project Edene' said, “I write from
the heart, I follow my emotions and my soul”. All the songs were
written by Edene'. |
| It is
hard to believe Edene' has only been in the United states for three
short years! Already she is creating a wild buzz around the Dallas
music scene, by performing in clubs, talent shows, beauty pageants
and local TV appearances as well. Initially coming to the States for
college, Edene' could not escape the calling of her true destiny.
She is incredibly passionate about her music, and equally as
passionate about involving herself in humanitarian work for her
native Africa and the rest of the third world. “I want the world to
experience my music and to share through music the things that we
all go through in life and in relationships. In addition, it is my
dream to use my success to raise awareness and help children in
third world countries. There is a great need for that.” Her
beautiful, sensual voice has been closely compared to that of the
infamous, Sade. Edene's demeanor and smile has won her tons of fans!
She is like no other female artist out there right now; her style is
truly her own. In her words, “It's all about the music, and I love
music. Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz, Pop: it doesn't matter, I have no
preference. I just love good music." So no matter what you may be in
the mood for, Edene's surely got it! |
