Malawi cuts off its own nose – Zim Vigil
The Vigil is sorry that our brothers and sisters in Malawi will suffer for President Mutharika’s hubris. Britain this week froze aid to Malawi because of its expulsion of the British High Commissioner for (privately) describing Mutharika as ‘intolerant of criticism’.
Full list of thematic committee members
This is the list of members of the seventeen thematic committees as released by COPAC on 13th May. Chairpersons and deputy chairpersons have been replaced by three team leaders, one from each party. “TL” = Team Leader, “Hon” = Member of House of Assembly, “Hon Sen” = Senator, “Rap” = Rapporteur.
New MDC-T standing committee meets
The newly elected MDC-T National Standing Committee today held its first meeting at Harvest House, Harare. The meeting was attended by all members and was chaired by President Tsvangirai. Only the Treasurer General, Senator Roy Bennett who is out of the country failed to attend the meeting.

Full MDC-T congress election results
The following are the full election results from the Third MDC-T Congress held in Bulawayo over the weekend. President Morgan Tsvangirai and exiled Treasurer General Roy Bennett were re-elected unopposed. The big winners at the congress included Nelson Chamisa who beat Elias Mudzuri 2670 votes to 707.
