PM son collapses over envoy’s death
HARARE – Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai yesterday said the death of Spanish Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Pilar Fuertes Ferragut affected his son Edwin so much that he collapsed after hearing the sad news. Ferragut died in Namibia in a freak car crash. Tsvangirai said Edwin, 33, took the news very hard.
Makandiwa builds house for murderous chief
Founder of the United Family International Church Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is building a house for Chief Kasekete Changara of Mashonaland Central. The three bed-roomed house is being built at the chief’s homestead in Gweshe Village, Muzarabani South.
Video: Mugabe arrives from Singapore
VIDEO- President Robert Mugabe arrived home from Asia on Thursday morning as his party denied reports he had suffered a health emergency. Mugabe, 88, was met at the main Harare airport by party leaders and military chiefs under normal protocol. He did not speak to waiting reporters.
‘Fit as a fiddle’ Mugabe returns from Singapore
HARARE- President Robert Mugabe returned home on Thursday, looking fit, after a trip to Singapore that had ignited speculation the veteran Zimbabwean leader was seriously ill. The 88-year-old, who has ruled for more than three decades, landed at Harare’s main airport in a white chartered plane accompanied by his wife Grace.
Mat South horror crash victims named
Police in Matabeleland South have identified 10 of the 12 people killed when a South African-registered vehicle collided with a haulage truck on Monday night. The Toyota Hilux was travelling to South Africa while the Volvo truck was driving towards Bulawayo.
