I am saddened by the news that the United Kingdom Border Agencies is deporting Zimbabweans basing on the rhetoric that “Morgan Tsvangirai recommended that Zimbabweans should go back home and help rebuild Zimbabwe”.

A Zimbabwean asylum seeker has admitted that he caused the death of an aspiring young model, when he drove the wrong way on the M62 motorway. Wilfred Museka 31, from Clayton, Manchester, had been at the wheel of his Renault Megane when he hit a Chevrolet Matiz near to Milnrow, Rochdale on September 15.

Wolverhampton, UK – A Zimbabwean woman, living in Smethwick, who received nearly £30,000 in asylum benefits while working illegally, has been jailed for 12 months. Itai Yvonne Mambo was sentenced at the Wolverhampton crown court on Tuesday.

An asylum seeker from Zimbabwe was accused of killing a model in a head-on crash while driving the wrong way down a motorway. A court was told that Rebecca Caine, 20, suffered fatal injuries when Wilfred Museka’s car ploughed into the Chevrolet Matiz carrying her.

A luxury hotel’s telephone line was diverted to a Zimbabwean conman’s mobile phone where customers’ credit card details were taken. Failed asylum-seeker Gaylord Hove, from Northampton, was found with the card numbers, expiry dates and security codes.

LONDON- A Zimbabwean asylum seeker was jailed for four years by the Croydon Crown Court in the UK after being convicted of 11 counts of fraud. Thirty-two year old Rose Chimuka ran an elaborate house-letting scam which made her £100,000.

The attempt to deport Vigil supporter Josephine Chari confirms the British government’s determination to end the moratorium on sending home failed Zimbabwean asylum seekers. Josephine was returned to Yarlswood detention centre from the airport and it is not yet clear what her position is.
