Tapa set up website to attack Tsvangirai |

17 October 2007 Former MDC UK Chairman Ephraim Tapa and party official Peter Nyoni set up a shadowy website www.zimdiaspora.com to try and settle political scores within the party. The lead story on the site on Tuesday was 'Tsvangirai transforms into another Mugabe' and attacked the ouster of Tapa's executive as unconstitutional. Investigations by Nehanda Radio however reveal that www.zimdiaspora.com was registered by Tapa and Nyoni on the 25th of September 2007 under the address 21 Kneller House, Union Groove, London, SW8 2RR, Great Britain. The contact number listed on the registration also happens to be Tapa's mobile phone 07940793090. Betraying the syndicate is that the address also happens to be the home of former Secretary Julius Mutyambizi, Tapa's side kick. MDC National Chairman Lovemore Moyo dissolved the Tapa executive after 33 out of 37 UK branches passed a vote of no confidence in them. Moyo supervised the process while drawing from his constitutional duty as overseer of external branches. The war of attrition however seems to continue unabated with disgruntled executives using their new website to attack party officials. By late Tuesday we were informed disciplinary proceedings will be brought against Tapa, Nyoni and Mutyambizi for bringing the party into disrepute.
