Transform Zimbabwe challenges ZANU PF in Masvingo South

It was not holiday as usual for Transform Zimbabwe Masvingo South members who toured the constituency on a massive mobilization and recruitment exercise, flier distribution and structure setting programme aimed at toppling ZANU PF in this year’s coming general election.

0n the 24th of December the team led by Makota Justin the constituency shadow Member of Parliament, Devias Muchoko the District Chairman and other team members toured Ward 30, 26, 24, 23 and 35.

In ward 30 they had a fruitful meeting with TZ members at Renco Mine Turn Off where they were encouraged to stand up and be counted through leading by example in their lives and walking the talk.

The team proceeded to Ward 26 at Chiwawa Shops where a group of youth members were waiting. On arrival the meeting was graced by Headman Danda who actually took the center stage by encouraging young God fearing people to stand up and occupy positions of influence. 

Youth in Ward 26 raised a pertinent issue of polling station distance as they walk about 8km to the next one because they are at the boundary of wards. Transform Zimbabwe promised to take up the issue with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

Transform Zimbabwe promised the youth some soccer and netball balls.

In Ward 24 at Guwa shopping center, the TZ team interacted with parents and youth who complained about the cashless festive season because of failure of the ZANU PF government led by Emmerson Mnangagwa.

In Ward 23 at Mavizhu Shopping Centre the team met TZ soccer team that was eagerly waiting for their promised soccer kit which was duly delivered. Transform Zimbabwe donated balls to Ward 23 TZ youth through their TZ youth Chairman Ernest Pikire Matewe. The other set of soccer kit was donated to Ward 35 which happen to be in Renco Mine. Several issues that range from unemployment and underdevelopment were raised by Masvingo South Residents in Renco and constituency at large. 

On the 27th of December Transform Zimbabwe concurrently held a successful youth soccer tournament and Ladies meeting. The tournament was made up of three main teams Chikuza, Number 9 and Nyikavanhu.

After the tournament Transform Zimbabwe representatives took time and have a youth talk with the players encouraging them to register to vote and improve themselves educationally.  At the same time, ladies held a successful meeting and deliberations were made and they put across proposals of economically feasible projects to be done. The lady delegates were each given a Christmas gift of petroleum jelly, a bottle of cooking oil, and Transform Zimbabwe regalia.

On the 30th of December Transform Zimbabwe representative were on an offensive mobilization move taking Transform Zimbabwe to Traditional Leaders and visited village elders, headmen and the area chief. Following the structure compilation the elders in Ward 30 respectfully embraced the shared Transform Zimbabwe vision of being patriotic, accountable, transparent and being morally upright which were seconded by Chief Nyikavanhu (Muremba).

The elders were quick to catch on the TZ Moto going “Pulling together: Born for such a time” and gave the team Transform Zimbabwe blessings to campaign. T.Z assured the Masvingo South community residents that it will bring meaningful change and development to deal with unemployment and family disintegration caused by many moving to South Africa in search for greener pastures.
