Brian White was adopted in Zimbabwe but came to the UK when he was 15 with the rest of his family. He then went on to achieve 3 A*s and 1 A at A-Levels and has been offered a place at Oxford.

But everything came to a halt when he was threatened with deportation after, what he believes, is an administration error after he was not given indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

His former teacher Sharon Bishop appeared on the sofa with him and passionately pleaded his case, saying that the “rule has not been applied correctly”.

Brian revealed that his friend Luke had started a petition which has since been signed by over 90,000 people .

When asked how he felt about the possibility of staying in the UK, he said: “I’m very hopeful after seeing all the kind support on the petition.”

But when questioned on what he would do if they didn’t allow him to stay, he said that he wouldn’t know what to do and that he didn’t know anyone there anymore.

And viewers were disgusted and took to Twitter to voice their anger at the situation.

“#ThisMorning my blood is boiling what the hell just allow Brian to go to Oxford. It shouldn’t be an issue,” one angry viewer tweeted.

Another commented: “#thismorning Absolutely ridiculous he’s been adopted finally got a family but yet he could be deported. Poor Lad :(.”

A third added: “This kids been offered a space at Oxford and he’s got a lot to offer the U.K. yet he’s being threatened with deportation? #ThisMorning.”
