Minister Zhuwao forced to deny he is having an affair with actress Anne Nhira

The Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment, Patrick Zhuwao, has been forced to deny allegations that he is having an affair with former Studio 263 actress Anne Nhira.

Nhira wrote a letter to Zhuwao complaining about the planned performance of South African socialite Zodwa Wabantu at the Harare International Carnival and when the Minister promptly responded by banning her, an outraged Zimbabwean public began asking questions about the whole saga.

“As soon as the officials responded to her (Nhira), those that did not agree with her chose to say she’s Patrick Zhuwao’s side dish. Now, what does that mean for young ladies that need to approach the government? It means you cannot write to the minister and you cannot engage with a minister.

“And what’s most fascinating about it is that some of the voices are feminists or people claiming to be feminists. If you don’t agree with her position and her appeal, please disagree with her on the basis that you see things differently, but don’t label her as Patrick Zhuwao’s side chick. What you then do is you stop all young ladies from being able to interact with ministers,” said Minister Zhuwao.

A Nehanda Radio source told us “Zhuwao and Nhira have been friends since 2014. He appointed her to the Mashonaland East Youth Council, and Steering committee yana Acie Lumumba iya. You also saw her on Wednesday during the solidarity march for Grace Mugabe in Harare. Grace is the preferred presidential successor for the Zanu PF G40 faction in which Zhuwao is also a key driver.”
