Making up for those who thronged Umqombothi Sports Bar in Nkulumane but failed to gain entry into the venue as they were turned away since it was packed, Bev will once again perform at that venue on Saturday evening.

Together with her dance group, the Sexy Angels, Bev is expected to heat things up at the venue, now known as the home of dance groups. DJs Quinn, Sweeto, Stone, Sheriff and Phibz will also keep revellers well entertained.

Zandile Moyo, Umqombothi spokesperson said: “Last time when Bev was here, people packed the venue by 7PM and we urge, especially those who missed out last time, to come early so that they have an opportunity to see Bev live on stage.”

She said all was set for the show where admission has been pegged at $2.

“Ladies will be allowed into the venue for free before 10PM. We’ll also up our security so that people have a good time without worrying about the safety of their vehicles and belongings.”

Bev’s manager, Harpers Mapimhidze said they were excited to be invited to perform in Bulawayo again.

“It’s always an honour being invited to perform in Bulawayo as the people there have always been supportive of Bev and her dancers. We’re assuring those who’ll come through of a great show,” said Mapimhidze.

Bev’s appearance at the bar follows that of South African dancer and entertainer, Zodwa Wabantu who wowed crowds there when she made a cameo appearance on Saturday afternoon.

Zodwa had lunch at the bar.

Meanwhile, Bev who was billed to perform at Club Nitrus in Victoria Falls last weekend had to ditch that show after organisers failed to pay them on time.

“We had to cancel the Vic Falls show at the last hour because of logistical challenges after the promoter didn’t pay in time,” he said.

If all goes according to plan, she will perform there later this month. The Chronicle
