CAPS United have refuted social media reports that their goalkeeper Edmore ‘ZiKeeper’ Sibanda and winger Phineas Bamusi are set to join Prophet Walter Magaya’s Yadah FC during this transfer window.

Run by the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries, Yadah FC is reportedly on a massive player recruitment exercise during this window in a bid to avoid the dreaded chop despite a positive start to the season which saw them going on a five-match unbeaten run before their bubble was bust by Dynamos on Week Six, a result which was followed, seven days later by a 7-2 annihilation by Bantu Rovers at Luveve Stadium.

While they picked up a few wins after that Luveve hammering, the Jairos Tapera-coached side has managed just a single win in their last seven matches and that win claimed, ironically, the end of Dennis Dauda’s stay at Caps United.

Social media reports this week claimed the duo of Sibanda and Bamusi, Caps United’ Players’ Player of the Year last season, now wanted to also cross the floor and rejoin their former captain.

However, Makepekepe chief executive officer Cuthbert Chitima, said the two players are going nowhere.

“It’s not true. There is nothing like that,” said Chitima.

Caps United, recently knocked out of the Caf Champions League, are third from the bottom on the table with 13 points but have a massive backlog of eight matches.

Their catch-up journey begins next Wednesday with a home fixture against How Mine at the giant National Sports Stadium before coming to Bulawayo for a date against Bulawayo City at Barbourfields Stadium next weekend. The Chronicle
