Pah Chihera, Prince back together

Musicians Pamhidzai Tracy Mbirimi aka Pah Chihera and Prince Musarurwa of the Runonzi Rudo fame are back together.

The duo who made a breakthrough with the blockbuster (Runonzi Rudo) in 2013 before pursuing solo careers has decided to work together under the brand Zunde Music.

They have both confirmed the development saying the move is inspired by South African powerhouse group Mafikizolo.

Musarurwa believes his new romance with Pah Chihera will bear sweet fruits.

“That is very true. That’s the set up now. We want to work for the best,” said the Gogodera singer.

Pah Chihera promised fans more hits that will possibly surpass Runonzi Rudo, a song that has made her a household name.

“Yes, we’ll be now working together from now onwards and we’ve done this for our fans.

“We feel we owe our fans a lot,” she said.

She, however, dismissed arguments that the move came after their not so rosy solo careers.

“No. That’s not it. Even when I was doing my stuff, Prince always supported me.

“He used to come to my shows and I was doing likewise.

“This is a decision to grow musically. To try and achieve your goals as a musician,” said Pah Chihera.

The songbird who boasts of powerful vocal ability said they will line up a number of shows and their desire is to penetrate beyond borders.

“A lot is in store and we have big plans for Zimbabwe. We’ll be holding shows as well.”

The duo also released the following statement to define their new brand:

“Zunde is a new brand of two African folk/Jazz musicians (Prince) Rodgers Kudakwashe Musarurwa and Pamhidzai Tracy Mbirimi (Pah Chihera) who aim to educate, entertain and empower its audience and community through music.

“Through Zunde brand the artists are to provide powerful music which will hit people’s hearts and they will draw millions of people from different parts of the world and uplift them spiritually and emotionally. Zunde Music will solve different conflicts amongst friends, families and partners.
