Wayne Rooney is set to be axed for Manchester United’s clash with Arsenal after his boozy wedding crash.

As revealed by The Sun, the England skipper partied into the night after the 3-0 win over Scotland at Wembley.

Rooney later pulled out of the squad with what was described a “minor knee injury” and missed the friendly against Spain.

And furious Jose Mourinho will drop his captain in favour of Marcus Rashford, according to the Mirror.

Rooney, 31, has started just one of United’s last six league games with the Special One going for youth and pace in attack.

Mourinho will be without Ibrahimovic, Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and potentially Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini for Saturday’s Old Trafford clash.

United are six points behind the Gunners after a poor run of form and a defeat could spell disaster for their Champions League hopes.
