The label is no doubt becoming a force to reckon with as he is also looking into signing up a lot more artistes; with two prospects currently on the road to jump abroad.

Furthermore his track Tonight which reached the number one spot twice on South African Channel (DSTV) Zambezi Magic, and another track Hotter than Fire featuring Bailey Brown is doing good rounds and get getting fair airplay in the UK.

Speaking to Nehanda Radio in a telephone interview, Kazz said “We are about to launch the clothing line in an exclusive way which will be our way of putting the brand out focusing on clothes of quality rather than quantities,” he said.

Meanwhile his career seems to be on a good peek and he has revealed that he will be dropping a new single end of October or beginning of November.

“I’m actually still battling on which one of the 3 tracks which he we have worked on as part of a forthcoming album which he says will be fireworks with mixed genres in the tracks including Reggae and Afro Beat amongst others,” he added.

Kazz also told Nehanda Radio that it was a very exciting time for him as he and his wife, Shafina were so excited to be having a baby boy on the way.

“We are expecting our son in November and this is just exciting for me, it makes me nervous sometimes but I’m definitely up for it and looking forward to raising him. This could possibly be the next Mr Boomslang you know,” he excitedly said.

Having been born in Blantyre Malawi and raised in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, Kazz grew up in a musical environment with his father Sidik Khan being one of the first to appear live on ZBC TV with his band.

Together with his brother BKay they started off singing at parties and entertaining guests at every opportunity and their love for music grew leading them to opening up their own production house called Prizm Inc. studios where they recorded some of their earliest songs like Ndikati Hello, My Brother My Sister and Come Together.

The two brothers decided that in order to reach that next stage and grow an international fan base, they needed to reach out thus they flew out to the United Kingdom and this is when their careers catapulted.

In 2007, BKay & Kazz won the ‘Live & Unsigned Competition’, went on tour and released several successful albums including Boomslang, African Spirit and Jigsaw in 2012 from which some of their biggest songs were Amina Kadeya, 7 Wonders, You Know Its Right, See You at the Top and Mercy.

However due to unforeseen circumstances, the BKay and Kazz brand came to a sudden halt when their mother was taken ill and BKay returned to Zimbabwe to help out with the family business and help out with the running of the family home.

But for Kazz, his option was to sink or swim and since going solo, Kazz has worked on several projects which include his singles Sweet Gal, International African alongside JJC and Shaking through the Night amongst many others.

Kazz is on a mission and he’s not going to quit until he reaches his destination and talks of an EP are in the pipeline. Nehanda Radio
