Lynda Masarira vs Evan Mawarire: Is this hypocrisy?

I want to ask two sincere questions here and I am sorry if I am to step on anyone’s toes. So, today (Friday) we went to Mbare where activist Lynda Tsungie Masarira appeared before the magistrate.
Lynda Masarira is a solid activist whose record speaks for itself. She is one of the very few women we spent several nights with during our 16 days of occupation before our eventual arrest. She carries the scars of the struggle.
My first question goes to the lawyers, the Christian community, the media and the citizens in general. Why did I not see you today at the court? I saw most of you two weeks ago when Pastor Evan appeared in court and I was totally impressed. I saw the power of oneness and that should be our modus until we reclaim our country.
I am aware that the dynamics are different but the struggle is the same. Where were the 100 lawyers? Where were the pastors? Where were the journalists? Where were the citizens? Is she also not worthy that sort of attention. I mean, this woman has been in the trenches before even some of us got in. Is she not worth that attention too?
My second question specifically goes to the women.
In as much as I appreciate your equal rights mantra in your feminism mode and conjectures, I am at times tempted to feel that you are not serious. Where were you when one woman who has the guts to do what most of you can’t do appeared in court today? She is one of you and she is standing in the gap for you too. Why did I not see you at court today?
Lynda is a mother of 5 children. She is a bread winner. Her children need her. She chose to neglect them in order to fight for you and me and we can’t even show her support during her time of trials. What is that?
Is this hypocrisy? Someone help me please. I vehemently refuse and repudiate it if its hypocrisy.
