Dear Readers.

REF: DISABLED FAMILY LOOKING FOR PROJECT ASSISTANCE

The great cause for concern to write this letter to all you Nehanda Radio readers and listeners is that we are looking for assistance to raise $1200 or R18 000 to establish a Popcorn Making Project.

We are a disabled family of three, I John Munetsi Jemwa visual disability my wife Vimbai Hove physical disability and our two year, nine months old daughter who is visually disabled. We currently reside at the above address.

We are stay at a house owned by a well wisher who took us in after we were homeless in 2013 and living in the street because of disability discrimination. We were allocated a house stand by Bulawayo City Council and it was paid for by two well wishers who read about my plight on Nehanda Radio in 2014 who jointly paid $4000 on our behalf.

The stand is 9714 Luveve Five. We got the current accommodation to stay for a period of three years which is coming to an end in June 2016. The three years was a period given to us to develop our housing stand in Luveve Five.

We are looking for assistance to establish a Popcorn making project that will provide a source of income for us as a disabled family of three. We believe that disability does not mean inability and this statement has got a comprehensive meaning to disabled persons with a better vision to sustain their lives independently.

We have a vision of a project which is true satisfaction. Our vision is to satisfy human wants as far as the provision of quality popcorn is concerned. The project will operate all year round. The project will provide all income needed for our daily living, child treatment and of building our on home.

The $1200 or Rand 18 000 will be used as follows.

Popcorn Making Project

I am looking for $1200 to Establish a Popcorn Making Project.

The funds will be used as fellows.

(2) Gas cylinder 19 kg R1000

(3) Popcorn corn for R4000 for 250kg

(4) Cooking Oil 150litres R1800

(5) Popcorn packaging for R2500

We are going to sell the Popcorn around Bulawayo and also at the Harare Agricultural shows annual events.

We have a number of events lined up for Bulawayo

(1) This coming April we have the Annual Zimbabwe International Trade Fair

(2) Soccer season starting on April 2

(3) We also have school sporting events

(4) Political and church gatherings

The project has a very high turn over and is disability friendly and has a great potential to drive us to greater heights and raise enough income to sustain us as a family of three disabled.

Your assistance will go a long way in brightening our future as a disabled family of three. I greatly appreciate the assistance I received on my house stand plight from Mr L Guma of Nehanda Radio in getting my plight to the whole World which made it possible to be assisted.
