The sungura ace, who ended a four-year album drought, has lined up a series of ‘Thank You’ gigs countrywide as he gets up close and personal with fans.

And the first assignment has been slated for the exquisite Private Lounge, which is located along Harare Street next to Holly’s Hotel, on April 9.

Being a midweek party, Macheso’ camp urges fans to show up early in numbers as they mix and mingle with the man himself.

“We are humbled by the loyalty our fans have shown to us and we have to show respect for our fans, especially the Harare Chapter where they did wonders.

“As a reciprocal gesture, we heeded their call and on April 9, we are going to have ‘Thank bash’ with them.

“After the Harare leg, we will take similar parties to other parts of the country.

“But at the moment, we are concentrating on the Harare leg to be held at Private Lounge and then we take it to other parts of the country,” said Orchestra Mberikwazvo communications boss, Tich Makahamadze.

He added: “On that note, we are simply promising the best. Morale is also high in camp and we can’t afford to miss our fans. Macheso, who is no stranger at this upmarket venue, will also be signing autographs to loyal fans while a photo session has been put in place.”

Autographed copies of his album will also be sold at the event, thanks to his distribution partners. Macheso’s well-knit album is laden with danceable tracks namely “Kurarama Inyasha”, “Baba”, “Wandirangaridza”, “Gungwa” and “Mude Mude”, which have been endorsed by old and new fans.
