Zhuwana Ncube from Northend claimed that her husband, Tennyson Ncube (ABOVE), was sexually starving her allegedly at the instigation of his pastor, a Mr Sibanda who wanted to “fix” her for refusing to join their church.

She said her husband now prefers anointing oil at her expense.

Zhuwana, who was seeking a restraining order against her husband at the Bulawayo Civil Court, further claimed that her husband was cheating on her with another woman from his church.

“Tennyson Ncube is my husband and he is in the habit of verbally and physically abusing me. He has beaten me on several occasions and the latest incident being on 1 February after I asked him why he used anointing oil.

“After asking him he started beating me up in front of our 29-year-old son. He is also in the habit of denying me conjugal rights just because I refused to be a member of his church where he is planning to wed his girlfriend. At his church he has also christened himself Pius Ncube.

“Our marriage used to be a happy one until my husband started attending Royal Family Church. At first I thought things would change but they worsened when he started assaulting and denying me conjugal rights with the church’s blessing. We are now living like a brother and sister and I think we should separate,” she said.

Tennyson however, said his wife was fabricating stories as a way of “fixing” him. He said Zhuwana was also disrespecting him.

“What she said is not true. She is the source of our problems because she disrespects and belittles me. She took a bottle with my anointing oil and emptied it down the toilet.

“One of our children is admitted to hospital and she is claiming that it is the anointing oil responsible for his illness,” he said.

Presiding magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa however, ordered Tennyson not to verbally and physically abuse his wife or threaten her in any way. B Metro
