Zimbabweans based in Durban were seen visiting the offices to purchase the popular regalia which is being sold at the offices.

The offices are mainly for business operations as they are using them to sell the PHD accessories where a range of items are on sale, and these are anointed pens (R10), anointed red candles (R30), wrist bands (R50), t-shirts (R150) and a special is being run on DVD’s of a church sermon that are being sold for (R100) and they come with special anointing oil.

The anointing oil is believed to be packed with blessings for overflow and abundance and it is believed that it helps to deliver those that are possessed by evil spirits.

The founder of PHD ministries Prophet Walter Magaya at his crossover night crusade in Waterfalls, Harare declared that this year was a year of abundance and great economic fortunes.

Pamela Mathunjwa, one of the officials manning the Durban offices recently moved from their Johannesburg offices to Durban. She spoke highly of the wares they are selling.

“My sister, these candles are important because the prophet prayed on them and one can use them every night to pray and ask for anything as you connect with various people who purchased candles as well. We also have in stock t-shirts, reading material and anointed pens that can help students,” she said.

The candles are said to have been prayed for by the prophet himself at the dubbed “candle-light services” on the crossover crusade where Prophet Magaya led his congregants into the procession of candle lighting which was said to signify the light into the world and people’s life process.

The PHD Ministries is running a cell group at the University of Kwazulu Natal’s Howard campus every Saturday where anointed pens are expected to sell. The cell group leader who is only known as Lady Flo said the group was growing beyond expectations.

“We had our first cell group meeting on Saturday and there was 37 people, but I can confirm that we have 200 people that are a part of the family and we are in talks of hiring out a bigger venue at the college because we did not know that we would grow this much.

“We are also planning on buying a big screen television set and we will use that to connect to the prophet and watch him live on television. We have a lot of plans in the pipeline and I am very excited about being in Durban” she said.

A woman only identified as Pretty wanted to purchase a wrist band and could not hide her joy as she continuously inquired about prices and sang praises to the accessories claiming they work miracles for her.

“I have been trying to get people from home to send me some of these wares as I have been having problems and the last time anointing oil helped me to get a job but right now I am struggling to secure a job.

“I have not been home in a long time and last time I could not make it to Pretoria when the prophet came. I am glad I can purchase the stuff here. Let me go and get some money from the ATM. I will be back.” Sunday News
