The Oxymoron that is … Credible and Chiyangwa … Curse of Soccer Continues

So Robson Sharuko and others spearheaded a campaign to get rid of Cashbert Dube from soccer. A cow horn formation was mounted. The man was lampooned from all corners. No stone was left un-turned or rather un thrown.

Attachment of his property was met with derision and no sympathy. The private and the public media never did sing a more harmonious melody. A motley crew of sports journalists long associated with the shady underworld of Zimbabwean sport put on priestly robes.

They became paragons of virtue. They condemned vice, bribery, incompetence and lo-behold they screamed –Corruption thy name is Cashbert Dube! For one moment we dared hope we hesitantly believed that there was hope in Zimbabwe.

He has sponsored and owned teams in the soccer “grassroots” our very own grassroots soccer expert. He donates a 10 000 here, a 10 000 there everywhere a 10 000 -The sports journos are singing the soccer version of kumbaya my lord .

The man goes and intimidates the only credible candidate –the Caps owner and video tapes it too- to sustained applause of the motley crew that is sports journos. Nothing Chiyangwa has touched has turned into Gold. The man is a walking talking scandal.

From selfies about women, shoes, hair, cars and a visible” vomit inducing “ bragging about wealth in a sea of poverty, what has been achieved. A parasitic relationship to the country and every organization he has owned.

The man to top it was embroiled in “spy scandal” whatever his role was. Is this what they wanted, who they wanted, If true then comrades you and I were sold down the drain –soon to be dumped in the sewer — A sewer rat if there was any, watch him thrive in the filth.
