Chase Skhuza served with summons

A PROMINENT Bulawayo musician was on Thursday issued with summons after failing to pay for music equipment that he bought in 2012 from a music shop in Bulawayo.

Nicholas “Chase” Skuza, younger brother to late music great Solomon Skuza has defaulted payment of $1 758 to Everything Music Shop located at Haddon Sly Building since 2012.

In their founding affidavit Skuza who resides in Luveve high-density suburb was summoned by Everything Music to make the payment in seven days or face prosecution.

The singer who has not had much success in Bulawayo’s showbiz industry probably because of the waning music fortunes in the entertainment scene was asked to make an appearance at the Civil Court.

“In default of your so doing, you will be admitted to the said claim and the plaintiff may proceed herein and judgment may be given against you in your absence,” reads part of the letter.

The music equipment was bought on 6 November in 2012 on hire purchase and was meant to have been paid up the following year in March 2013. Sunday News
