Renowned Sungura musician, Daiton Somanje, who co-founded Pengaudzoke with his young brother, Josphat has died.
Daiton’s eldest son, Faheem Somanje confirmed the death.
The ‘Tsaona’ hitmaker died Tuesday evening at the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals after suffering from meningitis.
The celebrated entertainer’s health deteriorated over the past week.
Daiton is known for some hit songs which he did together with his brother Josphat and these include Kwatakabva Kure Nenhamo, Munonditaura, Seiko Kuonda, among others.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
