The president often hangs out with all kinds of celebrities and entertainers, but it was Seyi Shay’s beauty and Jonathan’s visually timid reaction that sparked all kinds of jokes and speculations.

The pretty diva has finally broke the silence and gave explanations to Saturday Beats.

The singer explained that she had two outfits for the evening. The dress that made everybody talking was the one she wore to perform. Seyi Shay went on and debunked all kinds of seduction allegations.

“I am a very respectable young lady and I was not in any way trying to seduce the president with the outfit.

“I came on stage and greeted everyone according to their culture and I did the same for Mr President. He was impressed and he asked where and how I knew how to greet in his native dialect and I said I learnt it. That was what brought about the giggling and smiles in the picture,” she said.

The singer added that being a professional performer means that what goes on stage must not really influence her daily life. However, Seyi Shay admitted she was delighted to meet the leader of Nigeria:

“Who wouldn’t feel overwhelmed meeting the president? Well, I did and I felt honoured because it is not every day you get to meet the president of your country.”

The star also promised her fans that a new album would be coming at the last quarter of the year.

“I would deliver because I love you all,” she concluded.

Seyi Shay, real name Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, was born in Lagos on December 21, 1985.

She is a renowned award-winning singer, recording artiste, performer and record producer.

One of the notable aspects of her career was writing music for video games, for the Japanese Konami corporation. —Naija.com
