Low bid auctions, also known as penny actions are very popular in developed countries, for example Madbid backed by the multi millionaire Skype founder operates in Europe, Americas and Australia.

Just like any other African country, Zimbabwe’s eCommerce is still at infancy due to issues surrounding bank cards and internet accessibility.

However Zimbabwe’s mobile money industry is the best in world, and iBid Auctions is taking advantage of this to bring penny auctions to the country.

Zimbabweans are in so much need of discounted prices and good deals, they have been short changed by retailers for a very long time, since the days of hyperinflation to date.

Emerging from the hyperinflation, a dollarized Zimbabwean economy has seen prices of goods and fees for services like Bank unjustifiably over-inflated.

iBid could just be what Zimbabweans need right now, they can bid and buy items like phones, cars, farm equipment from as little as 1 Bond Coin cent.
