BULAWAYO – The much-anticipated pro-Amai Grace Mugabe march flopped yesterday as Zanu PF supporters boycotted the event with only a paltry crowd of less than hundred taking part.

The march organised by the little known Zanu PF sympathiser William Nyathi under the banner of “Bulawayo Citizens” failed to commence at 10am as scheduled as numbers remained disappointingly low.

With some being bussed to the event, numbers still could not impress.

Acting Zanu PF provincial chairman George Mlala who claims to have taken over from Callistus Ndlovu after a vote-of-no-confidence on the latter, was forced to drive back to the party’s provincial offices at Davies Hall after sensing that Ndlovu’s faction might have been responsible for the poor turnout.

He, however, discovered that hundreds of party officials were instead busy with the accreditation process for the party’s December congress. Daily News
