DJ Flevah selected for BBA Hotshots
DJ Flevah (real name Tendai Tembo), the chief selector for Judgement Yard, has been selected to play in the Big Brother House Hotshots on October 31.
On Wednesday night, Multichoice revealed that DJ Flevah will be on the turntables in the house.
He has followed precedence set by Power FM’s Daves Cool Mo Dee Mugadza who once rocked the same house two years ago.
Mugadza set a high bar for DJ Flevah and he is expected to pull up his socks.
DJ Flevah said the selection was a dream come true and reward for the effort he has invested in a career spanning over a decade.
He said it was a stepping stone for Judgemert Yard to enter the ‘African Jungle’.
He dedicated the performance to the group’s UK based founder Yungsen I Randu and ZiFM Stereo, where he also plays.
DJ Flevah is expected to export Zim dancehall to Africa and the world.
He, however, pointed out that he is a fully fledged entertainment practitioner and not only a dancehall dee-jay.
“I want to give a point of correction on the perception of me making a living off dancehall alone, I don’t make a living off dancehall solely but am pursuing a career in music as a DJ,” he said. The Zimbabwe Mail
