Game of Thrones star in Zimbabwe
Blockbuster movie Game of Thrones star Yuriy Kolokolnikov is expected in the country, ahead of the 2014 edition of the Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW) which kicks off at the Harare City Library.
Kolokolnikov will be one of the star guests at the annual fashion fiesta.
At least 11 international designers and models arrived in the country over the weekend.
ZFW spokesperson Tino Katsande confirmed the visitors’ arrivals.
“The international models and designers have already touched base.
“Among them is Leigh Schubert and Thula Sindi, both from South Africa, Durban-based Zimbabwean Thembani Mubochwa, Mustafa Hassanali from Tanzania, Chisome Lombe from Zambia, Jose Rui Lopes from Angola and Rahima Mohamed from United Kingdom being part of the participants at the show,” said Katsande.
“On the local scene, we have Sarudzai Murungu, Tapfumanei Munenge, Nompumelelo Marilyn, Bridget Pisirai and Natsai Mujuru among others who will showcase their designs and exchanging notes with the international designers,” she added.
The fashion show will also see awards being presented to outstanding individuals under Fashion Night Awards banner.
The ZFW organisers categorised high achievers in categories that include Male and Female Model of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the year, Makeup Artiste of the Year, Hair Stylist of the Year, Blogger of the Year, Emerging Designer of the Year, Young Designer of the Year, Accessory Designer of the Year.
